The suspensions used in heavy vehicles often consist of several oil and two gas chambers. In order to perform an analytical study the mass flow transferred between chambers separated by a nozzle, when considering as compressible real, it is usually needed determine discharge coefficient nozzle. nozzle configuration analyzed present consists T shape, separate nitrogen employed vehicle suspensions. study, under dynamic real conditions at operating pressures, coefficients were determined based on experimental data. A test rig was constructed for this purpose, air working fluid. clarifies that shape studied not only depend pressure gradient but also direction. Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulations, using fluid flowing both directions, undertaken, well, considered ideal. CFD results deeply helped understanding why dependent ratio direction, clarifying which location, how long, chocked be expected. Experimentally-based compared with ones, validating procedure numerical methodologies presented. information gathered aimed mathematically characterize performance suspension.
